PARTYNEXTDOOR

Canadian R&B star PartyNextDoor brings his Sorry I'm Outside tour to Copenhagen

GRAMMY-nominated singer, songwriter and producer from Canada, PartyNextDoor, burst onto the music scene as part of Drake's OVO Sound in 2013, being the first artist to receive a record deal. Since then, PartyNextDoor has had a successful career, supported by his enormous talent, and has become one of the hottest songwriters, including for artists such as Rihanna, Kanye West and Drake, while at the same time he has released some epic songs and albums as an artist.

PartyNextDoor's sound lies somewhere between R&B and hip-hop, combining sharp and detailed wordplay and flows with catchy melodies. He has numbers for the party, numbers for the woman you meet at the party, numbers for the love that happens afterwards and the inevitable heartbreaks. PartyNextDoor is a star who can make songs for any mood, and that's where you find his superpower.

Together with Drake and his producer 40, as well as several other artists on OVO Sound, PartyNextDoor helped revolutionize modern R&B and hip-hop in the 2010s; a revolution and development that i.a. was created with PartyNextDoor's groundbreaking EP and album releases. These helped blur the boundaries between the two genres and made artists "with a foot in each camp" some of the biggest on the scene. This became evident with the release of PND's second studio album "PartyNextDoor 3", where the single "Come And See Me" feat. Drake was nominated for a GRAMMY and has gone triple platinum.

With each release, PartyNextDoor has continued to evolve, and on his latest album, "PARTYNEXTDOOR 4", he has delivered his most intimate project to date. Here you get closer to him as a person than ever before. In addition, he has also been responsible for a large part of the production himself in order to achieve the right sound. About the process, he said: "I was in the studio with Noah "40" Shebib and we were listening to some songs and something just didn't sound right to me," explains PND. "I kept saying that wasn't it, until 40 let me grab the reigns, which was a big deal for me and showed how much respect 40 has for me. I appreciate that.” This helped push PartyNextDoor to a whole new creative level: "I'm in a good place right now, creatively," he continues, "I'm doing what I love doing, expressing myself to the fullest, and being free to the fullest.”
