Over the past few years, rapper Ezhel has cemented his position as a prominent representative of Turkish hip hop and trap. Last year, he visited Denmark for the first time, delivering a completely sold-out concert at Pumpehuset. This year, he is taking things to a new level with a show at Poolen.
Based in Berlin, Ezhel has become a leading figure for Turkish hip hop and trap on the international stage, thanks to his fresh style that fuses Anatolian cultural influences with the urban life of Berlin. His ability to create a unique, international sound rooted in Turkish hip hop has given him significant musical influence across borders and positioned him in the top tier of European hip hop.
Ezhel has released no fewer than 17 number-one singles. His breakthrough came with his debut album Müptezhel in 2017, which, along with a string of successful singles released in 2018 and 2019, catapulted him to stardom.
In 2019, he also released the collaborative album Lights Out with German-Turkish star rapper Ufo361. The album received widespread critical acclaim and achieved massive streaming success, featuring hits such as “Wir sind Kral” and “YKKE.”
The following year, Ezhel released another collaborative album, Made in Turkey, with rapper Murda, and appeared on Gentleman’s single “Devam,” which reached the top 10 on both the German and Turkish charts.
Fast forward to 2026, Ezhel continues to push the boundaries of hip hop, using his music as a powerful tool to tell his own story as well as reflect the world around him. In his ongoing mission to share his message with an ever-growing fan base, he returns to the road and will perform at Poolen in Copenhagen.
