Afrobeat sensation Omah Lay returns to Denmark, ready for Poolen 27 November

In just a few years, Omah Lay has gone from being a rising talent from Port Harcourt, Nigeria, to one of the world’s most sought-after Afrobeats artists. Since breaking through with his 2020 EP Get Layd, he has built a distinctive musical universe with hits like “Soso”, “Understand”, “Attention”, “Reason” and “Holy Ghost”, seamlessly blending Afrobeats, R&B and pop with deeply personal stories about love, loneliness and mental health.

Today, Omah Lay’s music has been streamed more than six billion times worldwide, and he has collaborated with some of the biggest names in music, including Justin Bieber, Tyla, Olamide, Ozuna, Luciano and Davido. Earlier this year, his collaboration with Davido, “With You”, earned a Grammy nomination for Best African Music Performance.

Omah Lay has also made a big impact in Denmark. Especially, when he last performed at Roskilde Festival in 2024. Soundvenue awarded his performance six out of six stars, praising a hit-filled set and an electrifying stage presence that kept a packed Arena tent dancing from start to finish.
