Royel Otis, who thrilled a packed Den Grå Hal last year, are returning to Denmark this autumn for their biggest Danish concert to date, taking place on November 9 at Poolen.
2024 was a breakout year for Royel Otis. Not only did they go viral with excellent cover versions of The Cranberries’ "Linger" and Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s "Murder on the Dancefloor"—the latter even praised by the English pop star herself.
They also released their debut album "Pratts & Pain", which received glowing reviews from the likes of NME, Clash, and Rolling Stone Australia, charting in the top 10 in their home country and top 25 on the UK indie chart.
Here in Denmark, the energetic indie pop duo also made a strong impression. The buzz around childhood friends Otis Pavlovic and Royel Maddell had reached Danish shores, prompting their debut show to be upgraded from Loppen to the larger Den Grå Hal, which they sold out.
If you missed the chance to experience Royel Otis’ smooth guitar riffs and infectious melodies—reminiscent of bands like MGMT and Phoenix—there’s good news. On November 9, the utterly lovable Aussies return to our part of the world to play their biggest Danish show yet at Poolen.
