Poolen and Smash!Bang!Pow! presents

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard

Eccentric Australians invite you on a mindblowing alternative rave-trip

The always phenomenal King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard will play their biggest Danish venue show on November 14 in Poolen with an electrifying rave set.

A double-headed tour that effortlessly jumps between rave sets and concerts, accompanied by some of Europe’s most renowned orchestras and symphonies? There may only be one band in the world that can pull it off, and that’s Australia’s free-spirited King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, who are announcing an EU/UK tour alternating between these two diametrically opposed shows.

With the rave sets—one of which will take place at Poolen in Copenhagen—the band draws inspiration from The Silver Cord, their 2023 venture into electronic, synth-heavy sounds. Get ready to dance as KGLW evolves in real-time, completely transforming their extensive catalog by swapping their no-nonsense guitars and fuzz pedals for a bastardized, fully modular synthesizer setup that shares the same beating heart as their ethos—ambitious, improvised, and revelatory. Rave and trip out.

Few bands possess as monstrous an artistic drive as King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard..Since 2012, they have released a staggering 26 albums, most recently the brilliant Flight b741 (2024), further expanding their ever-evolving sound. If there’s one thing that defines this Australian outlier band, it’s their complete disregard for genre conventions and musical dogma.

Listening to a King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard album is like a rollercoaster ride through a technicolor-drenched wonderland, shifting seamlessly between dreamy psychedelic rock, fuzzy garage rock, funky desert jams, meandering country, mind-bending synth excursions, and off-kilter hip-hop beats. You’ll never be bored—constantly surprised by the band’s boundless creativity.

Live, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard is just as vital and wild, with their tightly woven interplay ensuring that even the most sprawling compositions never spin out of control—something they’ve proven time and time again in Denmark.

So, expectations are naturally high when the lovable Aussies return this autumn for their biggest Danish venue show to date in Poolen on November 14.
