Faroese artist Eivør, who just released her album “ENN”, is regarded as one of the most prolific and unique Nordic artists of her generation. She has released 11 studio albums to date, continuously pushing musical boundaries by blending different genres.
The creation of “ENN” builds on Eivør’s recent deep dive into music production but began with a return to classical music. The album was made in collaboration with her partner, classical composer Tróndur Bogason, and features the melancholic closing number “Gaia”, which Eivør describes as "a love psalm to the Earth." The album also opens with “Ein Klóta”, a song about "seeing your world from afar" as it changes.
Speaking about “ENN”, Eivør states: ""I felt like I was making a concept album – in a way – about the Earth, about our home, our planet. Then it evolved into both nature, but also human nature – both the outer and inner landscapes, and the battles of the heart, the struggles between the Earth and humanity.””
As special guest at the show in Poolen, Ásgeir, the folk-pop singer and one of Iceland’s biggest international acts, will join. Additionally, Elinborg, known for her dark electro-pop, will be performing as support.
