The Danish language equilibrists are back at Poolen

Last year, legendary Malk De Koijn's 30th anniversary attracted the three bananas Tue Track, Blæs Bukki and Geolo G on a tour around the country. The audience was more than ready for a trip into Langestrand's universe and the venues had to announce that everything was sold out in no time. Including to nights at Poolen.

But Malk De Koijn are far from finished. On September 19th and 20th, they will transform Poolen into Langestrand – and you are invited!

Malk De Koijn consists of Anders Brixen, Janus Borup Staffe and Lasse Bavngaard aka Tue Track, Geolo G and Blæs Bukki. The group's birthplace was the self-defined Langestrands universe, which contained far more smiles on their faces and creative subtlety than the gangster attitudes that hip-hop music was otherwise full of in the early 90s. On their debut album Smashhit In Aberdeen' from 1998, Malk De Koijn already combined the good beat with a previously unheard of ability to create moody lyrics with both ulterior motives and balsty rhymes. The follow-up 'Sneglzilla' from 2002 established Malk De Koijn's name outside the hip-hop world as well. Once again, it was the combination of the solid basic tracks from Tue Track's DJ hands and the group's lyrical escapades that took the hit, and the album was first voted the best of the year by a unanimous daily press – and in 2011 even as the best Danish album of the past decade by Politiken's readers.

It is difficult to muster greater enthusiasm than the one Malk De Koijn received in September 2011 for ‘Toback To The Fromtime’, the trio’s first album release in nine years. A unanimous press praised the album with excellent reviews, but above all, the fans showed their enthusiasm and sent the record to the top of the charts.
